If one is actually using Twitter, 'Philippines' and 'Typhoon Ondoy' are trending topics. Well, there's a reason why. The typhoon was so strong that it killed 103 people (as of the moment) in my country. And there are a lot of people left without possessions and basic necessities. The typhoon destroyed a lot, and rained nonstop yesterday for like... 7 hours. Floods at my school were at chest level, and the flood near our house was at waist level. Some houses in a farther area sank completely, with only roofs to see.
Thankfully, we reside in a high area, where no floods are ever encountered. Unfortunately, our power supply got cut off yesterday at 4 in the afternoon, and just went back at 8 in the evening today. So, no electricity for 28 hours. I think it's better than being stranded or anything, but still, it's annoying.
So people in Twitter are asking for help, and I am too. I fear that this typhoon really hit our country on the spot, so we need all help we can get. There are people somewhere in Marikina who're still on top of their roofs, awaiting rescue. Damn typhoon is a pain.
So yeah, that's basically what I wanted to say. I'm not actually the country-loyal person, but it's pretty much unbearable to hear news of deaths here and there, majority of them drowning in the flood. Just a simple prayer would do. It's not like I was greatly affected by the typhoon, it's just that there are still people here whose relatives are missing, probably lost during the storm or awaiting rescue somewhere. I don't wanna think of the worst, so just a simple prayer might do something.

Yeah, that's it. And yes, I won't lock this post. Spread the word about what's currently happening in the other side of the world.
